Inner Oasis Capital

Build the wealth that money cannot buy.

Most people spend decades building financial capital. Few intentionally build the capital that determines whether life becomes meaningful, healthy and fulfilling.

Inner Oasis Capital helps you build both.

About the founder

From building balance sheets to building better lives

For more than 25 years I worked in investment banking and corporate finance, advising companies across Asia on mergers, acquisitions, capital raising and strategic transactions. I learned how value is really created: patiently, deliberately, and long before anyone applauds.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, I noticed a pattern among the most successful people I met. Their balance sheets kept improving. Almost everything else was quietly being spent down:

  • Health traded away one late night at a time
  • Relationships that had been running on autopilot for years
  • Purpose borrowed from a job title rather than owned outright
  • Burnout treated as a cost of doing business
  • Ageing feared instead of prepared for
  • Adventure postponed to a retirement that kept moving

This is not about abandoning financial success. It is about expanding the definition of wealth.

Inner Oasis Capital came out of that realisation. I now combine what finance taught me - discipline, allocation, honest measurement, the long view - with what travel, mountain trekking, personal growth and healthy ageing have taught me since. The invitation is simple: invest in yourself with the same rigour you already apply to your money.

The six capitals

Six holdings that decide how the years actually feel

Money is one form of capital, and it is the one with a statement arriving every month. These six have no statement, no custodian and no quarterly review - which is exactly why they drift. Open a card to see what a strong position looks like.

Health Capital

The asset every other asset depends on.

Strength, sleep, mobility and metabolic health compound exactly like interest: invisibly for years, then all at once. Unlike money, it cannot be raised quickly, borrowed against, or bought back at a premium later.

A strong position looks unglamorous - resistance training you don't skip, sleep protected like a board meeting, bloodwork you actually read.

A first depositTwo strength sessions a week, in the calendar, treated as unmovable.

Purpose Capital

Work that still makes sense when the title is gone.

Many high performers hold their sense of meaning in a single stock: the role. It is a concentrated position, and one restructuring can wipe it out.

Diversifying means finding contribution that would survive a resignation letter - mentoring, building, teaching, making something that outlasts your business card.

Relationship Capital

The only portfolio that cannot be rebuilt in a hurry.

Marriages, friendships and the relationship with your own children are built in ordinary, repeated, unbillable hours. Neglect doesn't announce itself; it shows up as distance you can't date the start of.

The good news: small, reliable contributions outperform grand gestures almost every time.

Resilience Capital

What you draw down when the market of life turns.

Every life has drawdowns: an illness, a redundancy, a loss, a decade that doesn't go to plan. Resilience is the reserve that lets you stay in the game long enough to recover.

It is built in advance - through recovery habits, honest support, financial slack and a nervous system that isn't running permanently at maximum.

A first depositChoose one recovery practice and one person you can call without editing yourself first.

Adventure Capital

The compounding value of stories you'll still be telling in twenty years.

Adventure is not a luxury line item; it is how you stay curious, humble and awake. It also has an expiry date attached to your knees, which is why postponing it to retirement is the riskiest trade in the book.

It doesn't require the Himalayas. It requires being a beginner at something, on purpose, more than once a year.

Gratitude Capital

The valuation method that makes what you already own worth more.

Ambition has a habit of repricing your life downward: whatever you have becomes the new baseline, and the target moves again. Gratitude is the correction - the same assets, honestly revalued.

It is the cheapest capital to acquire and the easiest to let lapse.
